Prayer for Revival

Praying the Will of God for Revival

From the Desk of Pastor David

As Admiral Yamamoto said, the bombing of Pearl Harbor awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve. I hope this current COVID-19 crisis will awaken a sleeping Church and fill us with a resolve for revival.

1 John 5:14, 15 says that we know we have the answers to our requests when we pray according to His will, which is His Word. As you pray today for revival and a spiritual awakening in our town, our area and our country, speak out these scriptures. It doesn’t matter how you feel at the moment. The seed doesn’t care how the farmer feels when he plants it. The seed just does the job it is supposed to do. God’s Word is seed. (Luke 8:11) It will do the work it is supposed to do when we plant it (speak it).

Isaiah 55:10, 11 (THE MESSAGE)
“Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, Doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.”

Isaiah 62:6, 7 (THE MESSAGE) – this scripture is about Jerusalem, but we want God to do this for us also “I’ve posted watchmen on your walls, (Mayo, Florida). Day and night they keep at it, praying, calling out, reminding God to remember. They are to give him no peace until he does what he said, until he makes (Mayo) famous as the City of Praise.”

First, these scriptures must be our attitude and our attitude toward the condition of people’s hearts

Psalm 63:1, 2 (Bible in Basic English)
“O God, you are my God; early will I make my search for you: my soul is dry for need of you, my flesh is wasted with desire for you, as a dry and burning land where no water is; To see your power and your glory, as I have seen you in the holy place.”

Psalm 119:136 (God’s Word Translation)
“Streams of tears flow from my eyes because others do not follow your teachings.”

This is what we desire for God to do

Psalm 119:126 (Bible in Basic English)
It is time, O Lord, for you to let your work be seen; for they have made your law without effect.”

Psalm 72:18, 19 (God’s Word Translation)
“Thank the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does miracles. Thanks be to his glorious name forever. May the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen!”

Psalm 67 (NIV)
“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples justly and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us. God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.”

Acts 8:6 (THE MESSAGE) – we desire for people to hear the Word and see His miracles “When the people heard what he had to say and saw the miracles, the clear signs of God’s action, they hung on his every word.”

Acts 10:38 (NLT) – Jesus is still doing these things through us
“And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”

John 14:12 (God’s Word Translation)
“I can guarantee this truth: Those who believe in me will do the things that I am doing. They will do even greater things because I am going to the Father.”

1 Corinthians 2:4, 5 (NKJV)
“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Acts 4:29, 30 (Amplified Bible)
“And now, Lord, observe their threats and grant to Your bond servants [full freedom] to declare Your message fearlessly, While You stretch out Your hand to cure and to perform signs and wonders through the authority and by the power of the name of Your holy Child and Servant Jesus.

Mark 16:15-20 (God’s Word Translation)
“Then Jesus said to them, “So wherever you go in the world, tell everyone the Good News … These are the miraculous signs that will accompany believers: They will use the power and authority of my name to force demons out of people … They will place their hands on the sick and cure them.” … The disciples spread the Good News everywhere. The Lord worked with them. He confirmed his word by the miraculous signs that accompanied it.
