What We Stand For

It is our objective that LCA be distinguished as a place where truthful knowledge is taught, God is revealed, wisdom is sought, integrity is expected, excellence is applauded, leaders are developed, service is encouraged, and participation is cultivated for the glory of God. We pray you will let us partner with you and share the challenges of one of the greatest responsibilities – Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” It is our desire not only to minister to your children, but also to minister to you. Let me invite you to check out our services at Lighthouse Christian Center. I am confident you will receive a warm welcome and an encouraging word. For more information call (386) 294-3089.

Administrator’s Welcome

Lighthouse Christian Academy Higher Standards ~ Eternal Purpose

Welcome to the Lighthouse Christian Academy website! LCA is a ministry of Lighthouse Christian Center of Mayo Fl. The academy was founded in 2003 as a fulfillment of a long term vision of Lighthouse Christian Center. The vision of Lighthouse Christian Academy is “Teaching excellence and God’s truth to future leaders.” Combining academic excellence with a biblical worldview makes LCA a perfect choice. We are committed to teaching students to pursue spiritual, academic, and physical excellence by providing a productive instructional program.

Core values

In order to achieve our mission, LCA is committed to the following Core Values:

We are committed to do all things in a manner pleasing to the Lord. We believe each student, faculty, and staff should strive for continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence in all they do whether it be in spiritual matters, academics, creative arts, or athletics. It is our goal to instill a work ethic that promotes excellence; Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”

God’s truth:
God – Because we believe that God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things we seek to glorify Him in all activities and relationships. His unconditional and unfailing love prompts us to trust Him in all things. Romans 11:36; Colossians 3:17.

Bible – The inspired Word of God is the source and foundation for all truth. The integration of biblical truths in all subjects and activities help to train our students to view life with a biblical perspective. II Timothy 3:16-17.

Prayer – We believe prayer is one of the most important resources God has given to Christians. We seek to instill the importance of building a close relationship with God through prayer and Bible reading. Psalm 62:8.

Service – Another important truth we seek to instill in our faculty, staff, and students is the aspect of service. Service for both God and others is emphasized at LCA. Mark 10:43-45.

Morality – The morals and values represented in God’s Word are essential to the curriculum of LCA. Our faculty, staff, and students are expected to live moral lives and embrace the values found in God’s Word. Psalm 119:9, II Peter 3:14.

statement of Faith

The program and activities of Lighthouse Christian Academy shall be based upon, and at all times shall be consistent with the following beliefs:

       1. That Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. That He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is now at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest, Advocate, and Intercessor. (John 1:1-2, 14:7-11, 20:1-31; Matthew 1:20-23, 27:12-51; Luke 1:30-38, 23:33-46)

     2. In one God who created all things and who is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; John 14:16, 17, 20-23)

     3. The Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God. These are the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21)
